Children are our future.
Ensuring their health is a goal the
Mother & Child Health Coalition works toward every day by promoting cooperation among individuals, major health institutions, other community organizations concerned with maternal/child health issues, and metropolitan and state governments.
The Coalition serves as a catalyst for bringing together resources to
promote maternal/child and community planning that leads to better lives for
women, children and families. It is the only area organization that focuses on both maternal and child health.
The Coalition was founded in the early 1980's, evolving from efforts to improve the health status of vulnerable mothers and children. In early 1995 the Mid America Immunization Coalition was added to the Coalition's programs.
Today, our programs include:
-
Kansas City Healthy Start
-
Mid America Immunization Coalition
-
FIMR (Fetal Infant Mortality Review)
-

- Eat Small Campaign
- Weighing In Collaborative
-
